SS22 - Super Elliotts East End Street Race Announced!
Back now for the second year of it’s new, 21st-century life, the East End Street Race will be raced as Round 5 of the 2022 Cervelo Super Series on Saturday, October 22! We’re excited to be returning to the coolest part of the Adelaide CBD, the East End, and putting on a great day of bike racing that will begin with Round 2 of the 99 Bikes Junior Super Series racing in the morning and culminate in the Elite races in the early evening.
Long-time Rundle St tenants and a bike shop with roots dating back to its first opening in 1902, Super Elliotts Cycles have come on board to support the Super Elliotts East End Street Race in 2022. We’re grateful to have their support in racing (almost) right on their doorstep, and can now add the East End Street Race to the very long list of historic Australian bike races sharing the Super Elliotts name.
This year’s Street Race will share the same course as last year’s, with a sweeping right hander onto East Tce, a sharp hairpin turn and a tight left hander back onto Rundle Rd, then a long, straight dip where rider will jostle for position before navigating a wide 180 degree corner and the drag back along Rundle Rd to the finish line. A shuffle to the programming and being on a Saturday instead of a Sunday will see us finish a little later than last year’s race, with the Elite Men’s race at 4pm and the Elite Women’s race headlining the day at 5pm.
We can’t wait for this one this year and encourage you to bring the friends and family and make a day of it! The East End is home to Adelaide’s best coffee, food and bars, as well as plenty of retail options so you can really make a day of it! Make sure you chuck this one in your diary and get on it to East End on October 22 for the Super Elliotts East End Street Race!
