2019 Super Series Round 2 to be Lenswood Team Time Trial

After an exciting and successful Lenswood Team TimeTrial in 2018, the race will return for the 2019 Super Series. This year theTTT has been moved up to Round 2 on Sunday 29 September, on the back of anexciting opening round at Victoria Park.

The only Team Time Trial on the Super Series calendar will be a spectacular event, as cyclistsride some of the most scenic roads in the Adelaide hills in the heart of Spring.

The TTT is always exciting, as teams work in unison tofinish with four of their starting eight riders to have their time recorded.For the strongest riders on the teams, it's about controlling theireffort. For the weakest, it's about holding on with all that they have!

Starting at the Lenswood Cricket Club, the course will featurethe entire length of Swamp Road. Framed by apple and pear orchards, it worksits way through rolling hills before taking a turn at the finish to head up StentifordHill. This hill is just over 1km averaging over 10%.

Cycling SA CEO Lachie Ambrose says, "We are excitedto return to Lenswood in 2019 for the Team Time Trial. The inclusion of ahilltop finish is very much atypical for a TTT and as shown last year, presentsa massive tactical dilemma for the teams. Do they hold their climbers back? Ordo they fully commit on the flatter roads and hope that it pays off later? Weknow the round isn’t for everyone, but that’s what makes for an exciting teamseries!"
