USG Women’s Racing Team looking for more success

USG Racing Team have been a prominent force in South Australian cycling for the past couple years with many successful riders coming up through their ranks. They return to the 2018 Super Series with three teams entered across the women, men and masters’ categories.

After last year’s success with numerous ‘most aggressive’ jerseys, the women’s team is set to continue their attacking style of racing. Alana Haansbergen leads the team as a super domestique who will bury herself to help the team and always is a reliable lead-out rider for the sprints. She will look to continue her trend of gaining most aggressive riders after finding success in that category last year.

Kayla McSporran will also set her sights on lighting the race up and throwing a spanner in the works during the many criteriums. Described as a workhorse by her teammates, she isn’t afraid of sacrificing her own chances for the greater success of the team. Staci McCudden makes the step up after riding in the state development team during the category two division last year and is being primed as one to watch.

Becca Gross, Eloise Vaughan and Stacey Riedel round out the team who will no doubt be one of the strongest on the start line. The teams aim is to develop the riders stepping up to category one this year and give them the opportunity to contribute to the team plan.

The Cooper Coast Cup is one the team is looking forward to with two hard days of racing. The added bonus of some refreshing recovery beverages means that it will no doubt be the highlight for many of the 2018 teams.

Backed by long-term sponsor, the solution orientated company is dedicated to the highest quality of services, supplying technologies to address any organisations IT requirements.

Boutique café Coffylosophy continues as sponsors as does Grotto Pizza and Victorian clothing company Ventou. Vittoria tyres are known to be some of the best in the world and will provide the team with tyres ensuring they have every advantage possible on the fast Victoria Park circuits.

Stay tuned for the rest of the category one team previews including the USG men’s team and many more.
