2022 Cervelo Super Series kicks off at the Bend Motorsport Park

We're used to racing on a racetrack, but not quite like this!

Round 1 and 2 of the 2022 Cervelo Super Series will be raced on Sunday, October 2nd at the Bend Motorsport Park! Having previously held the 2018 state criterium championships and also Round 5 of the 2020 Super Series, we're heading back to The Bend Motorsport Park for a full day of races! Racing will take place on the 7.7km GT Circuit - the longest circuit at The Bend Motorsport Park, and the second longest permanent race track in the world!

"It's great to be returning to the 7.7km long GT Circuit at The Bend Motorsport Park to open this year's Cervelo Super Series, and bringing back the Team Time Trial will be an excellent way to kick off the competition. We’re grateful to have the support of The Bend in coming back this year in between a busy schedule of motorsport, and look forward to racing on a world class race circuit!” - Jake Thomas, Race Director

This round also marks the beginning of the 2022 Junior Super Series, comprised of five rounds of the Super Series, Junior A, B, C and D graders will compete for points toward an overall Series win! The day will start off bright and early at 9AM with our junior riders heading out on course for the first round of their Junior Super Series. The 2022 Cervelo Super Series will then kick off proper at 1020 AM with the Team Time Trials for the senior categories, before the Road Races in the afternoon.

2020s round of racing at The Bend saw some fast paced, aggressive racing. With a course that is always on the pedals in and out of the 33 corners per lap - the short power climbs and rises quickly add up to make for a hard race that certainly isn't as straight forward as it looks. Add in the potential for crosswinds with the exposed nature of the course, and you've got a hard day in the saddle!
