Team Preview: Adelaide University Cycling Club

After last years success, taking out the category two individual title through Josiah Whittaker, Adelaide University Cycling Club are back searching for the same winning mentality which saw them just edge out the rest of the competition in the closest category of 2018.

It went down to the wire last year with Whittaker winning the last round of the series to send it to a dead heat on points and therefore a count-back on wins to edge out the consistent Andrew Clarkson from Norwood Cycling Club. Whilst Whittaker has since moved on, his individual success was often down to the work of great teamwork which should see the Adelaide University Cycling Club once again challenge throughout the 2019 Super Series.

Adelaide University Sport is a supporter of a wide range of sports with cycling being no exception. The team are also backed by local cafe, KOM Coffee so they will be in no shortage of a pre-race caffeine boost with the shop located ideally on the ANZAC highway.

Team manager Andrew explained that the team were keen to hit the Super Series hard again due to the interesting courses and competitive racing. The goal for the 2019 series is to continue their winning ways of the past and add a few more to the tally.

Be sure to keep an eye out on the Adelaide University Cycling Club Facebook page for the teams updates throughout the series as well as their Instagram.
