The Vic Park Extended Criterium is Back!

After a wonderfully successful and well received Extended Victoria Park Criterium in 2018’s Super Series, the round will once again be run in 2019. The “Vic Park XL” circuit is an excellent excuse to get the whole family out to a bike race that’s easily accessible, right in the middle of town!=

Round 5 of this year’s Series will be raced on Sunday,October 27 (fresh off the back of the Copper Coast Cup) and will see riders’ venturebeyond the standard Victoria Park criterium course and out onto a fully closed WakefieldRoad. Riders will chute out of the Northern gate and turn towards the city, then turn around and fly back down Wakefield Road almost all the way to theBritannia Roundabouts before returning to the criterium course to finish eachlap.

Last year the course was met with glowing reviews, and eventhose who found it a little on the taxing side appreciated the additions. Ridersand spectators alike were given a real treat as this extended circuit was atesting, technical and most importantly interesting alteration to ourstaple Victoria Park Criteriums.

This round will begin the “back four” of this year’s Series, four criteriums over the space of a month (the remaining two to be announced atcompletely new venues for bike racing!) which will be instrumental in decidingthe Series Classification winners. Alongside these final four criteriums ofthis year’s Super Series will be the 2019 Junior Super Series, on the samecourses as the Senior racing on all the same days!

Round information is being populated throughout the Super Series website currently, and individual entries for the Series are now open for those who won’t be racing on a team in 2019. Click through the Entryboss links to put your name on the start list!
