Team Preview: Chesser Chemicals, Elite Men and Masters 1

Chesser Chemicals are back for another round of Super Series action in 2019 with the group fielding teams across two categories. They will be represented in both the elite mens field as well as the masters category 1 peloton as they look to mount a serious challenge for the overall competition

The team has had strong representation for a number of years now with their first major result dating back to 2013. Scott McPhee took out the Sprinters Series jersey that year and notable results since then include Karl Evans winning the KOM competition during the 2016 series and Harry Askew being the best young rider in last years competition.

Askew is back this year with the team and will look to retain his the young rider competition. The elite team come in focussed on that goal with a good crack at the sprinters competition a close second. Askew will be supported by a strong team including Lucas Hoffman and Jarrod Currie who will no doubt be looking to grab a few of their own results.

The masters category 1 contingent will look to upstage the elite team with some friendly in-team rivalry and challenge for the overall competition. This will require a strong team time trial which is always a pleasure as the team say they get to "share the pain together."

"Our favourite part of the Super Series has to be the Wallaroo Road Race as that type of racing suits the majority of our riders on the roster. Our younger riders are also looking forward to the technical courses such as St Clair and the extended Victoria Park Circuit. It will be a fresh change and make it harder for people to get an easier ride! Not to mention the Team Time Trial as we will be able to suffer and enjoy the pain together!" Peter Varricchio explained.
