Olivers Real Food Racing excited to kick off series

With only three weeks to go until the 2018 Super Series kicks off at Victoria Park, we preview our first continental team who are set to be strong favourites for the overall Super Series title in the mens division 1 category, Olivers Real Food Racing.

While many of their National Road Series riders are based outside of South Australia, Olivers still have a strong contingent who will challenge for series honours headlined with two time winner of the Hell of the North Road Race, Lachlan Glasspool. While they admittedly do not come into the series with a clear leader, team manager Brad Davies feels as though they have a "strong team who can hold their own on each stage of the series."

Jack Sutton and Russell Gill are two known locals to keep your eyes out for, especially in the technical criteriums that shape the series as well as Angus Maddern and Callum Pearce who have both pulled impressive results at NRS level.

The team is rounded out by two very promising youngsters in Tristan Saunders and Tim Rochford who will likely look to provide support to the older riders as well as experience high level racing at the same time.

Olivers Real Food has been a major sponsor of the team for it's entirety and are a fast-food alternative chain dotted along the major highways of the east coast of Australia. They supply healthy alternatives in a junk food dominated sector and are always a welcomed sight by the many cyclists who travel along the highways to get to their events. Be sure to stop by Olivers the next time you are at a service station for a healthier option to road-side food.

Davies says that while the overall win is on their mind "two or three stage wins throughout the series and a finish high up in the teams standings" would be a successful Series.

The series kicks off in just three weeks with the Victorian Park Criterium on the 22 of September before moving down to Wallaroo for the infamous Cooper Coast Cup. Be sure to keep an eye out on the Super Series facebook page for all the latest updates as the countdown gets closer!
