Copper Coast Cup Returns

Having launched the 2018 Super Series earlier lasr week, Cycling SA is eager to announce that the popular Copper Coast Cup weekend will again be included in the Super Series calendar. With support from the Copper Coast Council, the weekend will include a road race from Wallaroo on Saturday 6 October, followed by a criterium in Moonta on Sunday 7 October.

Cycling SA CEO, Lachie Ambrose, is excited about the event. “The Copper Coast Cup has become an iconic event on the SA calendar,” Ambrose notes. “We are really grateful to the Copper Coast Council for having us back again in 2018, and we look forward to another great weekend in this beautiful region filled with exciting racing and exceptional local hospitality.”

The Copper Coast is less than two hours’ drive from Adelaide, located at the top of the Yorke Peninsula. The towns offer visitors a unique experience with unspoilt coastlines, great beaches, fantastic fishing, with historical sites and museums to enjoy. The Copper Coast Cup has been held since 2016 and is fast becoming a favourite amongst Super Series teams.

Dates for the 2018 Super Series are now confirmed and will run from 22 September until 9 December 2018. Early entries for the 2018 Super Series have now officially opened and will remain open until July 23 when prices will revert to non-early rates.

We look forward to enjoying the Copper Coast with riders and spectators alike, and finding out who will win the Copper Coast Cup for 2018!
