Unley Cancelled, Still Hope For A Series Finale

Unfortunately, under new COVID-19 restrictions we have had to cancel this weekend's Unley Oval Reserve Criterium. It is too early to say how long we might be in these current restrictions which prohibit sport, but as things progress in the next few days we will know more and more how it might look for the next couple of months. Should this lockdown prove effective, we may be able to reschedule a final round of this year’s 99 Bikes Super Series to send it off with a bang as we had hoped. That may even be able to be on the Unley Oval Reserve course still!

As always, the AusCyclingSA/Super Series team will work towards the best outcome for all our riders within the guidelines we are handed down by SA Health. Keep an eye on the Super Series social media pages, as well as the ACSA Facebook page for updates to our advice for riding as well as competition and training as quickly as we can get them to you.

In the case that the remainder of the Series must be abandoned due to an ongoing lockdown, we’ll make that decision when a little more information comes to light regarding the spread of this Parafield cluster of cases.

As of yesterday afternoon, there has been an update to the ACSA COVID-19 Advice which affects all members and the cycling community. You can read through the entirety of the announcement here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and with any luck, a short break from the relatively free lives we’ve been able to live for the last few months will be enough to break the infection rate of this cluster down and get it under control so we can get back out there and race our bikes again.
