Adelaide Bike Fit Returns to Support Young Riders in 2020

Adelaide Bike Fit is run by one of the more recognisable characters of Adelaide’s cycling scene, Steve Nash (Nashy to most). Nashy has been involved in the racing here for a very long time, whether during his days at the now closed Corsa Cycle Centre, outfitting riders with some of the fastest bikes in Australia, his own racing, or being a mechanic for the state teams and visiting pro-teams during the Tour Down Under. Not content with just his current involvement helping out Team Tonsley Village, Nashy and Adelaide Bike Fit are back for the second year to support the Young Riders Category, with each grade’s Category winner getting a complimentary bike fit.

Adelaide Bike Fit sponsored this category in 2019 and were enthusiastic about coming back for 2020, actively sounding out CSA for the opportunity to be on board again. Based at Largs Bay, ABF understand the complexities of bike fitting and use decades of experience combined with some of the best technological solutions to fit pretty much any rider for any type of riding. They’re equally capable of getting a rider set up to nail Norwood CC summer criteriums, be as aero as Rohan Dennis for a Port Adelaide Outer Harbour TT, or get comfortable on your first bike to get you ready for the first 100km ride.

A bike fit is one of the most important investments you can make in your riding. A $10,000 aero superbike might not be worth the marginal gains claimed if the saddle’s too low, stem’s too short or cranks too long. With flexible bookings available, there’s very few reasons why you shouldn’t go and see Nashy, and get ready for whatever challenge you have coming up that you want to get the most out of!

The 99 Bikes Super Series continues this Saturday with the most divisive round, the TTT finishing up Stentiford Road in Lenswood. With several of the Series favourites across the grades missing the points in Round 1, teams will need to give it their all to get things back on track.
