The Super Series is here!

A thrilling 2019 Super Series will commence with the very exciting Mischief Brew Points Race tomorrow at Victoria Park!

The points race will be electrifying viewing for spectators, as points are awarded at regular intervals after sprints. In this race, every 4 laps of Vic Park, the first rider over the line will be awarded 5 points, the second awarded 3 points, third 2 points and fourth 1 point. Double points are awarded at the finish of the final lap (10, 6, 4, 2), and the winner of the race is the one with the highest number of points at the end of the race – not necessarily the one who crosses the line first at the finish! Across the 6 senior races there are a total 43 sprints, so there will be plenty of action all through the day!

With a couple of great coffee shops – The Velo Precinct and Kiosk on 16 – along with the GANG GANG food truck slinging burgers in the infield from 12-4pm, there’s no shortage of food or drink throughout the day. Couple that with the historic Vic Park grandstand to view the exciting sprints from, and this event is one not to be missed!

We’ve had to cancel the Junior A race due to low entry numbers, so there’ll be a gap in the schedule below at 9:55 before the Masters Cat 2 grade kicks off the Senior racing at 10:30!

Our friends at Sunscreen Fundraising will be there spruiking the importance of being sun smart (especially as we get through these long Super Series days!) and providing free sunscreen to anyone who’s forgotten theirs.
