COPPER COAST CUP - SeptemBER 28TH/29TH
Rounds 3&4 of the 2024 Cervelo Super Series sees us heading back to Kadina and Moonta for the fan favourite Copper Coast Cup double header weekend on the 28th and 29th of September! Proudly supported by the Copper Coast Council, this is one of the best weekends of racing you can get here in SA, and as always, we're very much looking forward to the Yorke Peninsula getaway!
Day One of the Copper Coast Cup will be The Kadina Airfield Road Race, supported by the Copper Coast Council with a designated event area in the Kadina Airfield.
The 10km lap is about 90% gravel, with all of that gravel wide, hard-packed roads that are similar to, if not better than, Wallaroo Plains Rd in the previously used course. The final 1km of each lap is sealed leading in to the Finish line, and each race will start from the event area inside the Airfield.
Day Two of the Copper Coast Cup is continuing to build on the successes we have seen in recent years. After the positive feedback to adding another block to the Queen Square crit circuit, we're taking to the same course again which really mixed up the results from the shorter, one block crit of the past.
Kadina Airfield Road Race - Event Area Access and ExiT
Event area access is via Airport Road off Copper Coast Highway. (see links below for google maps directions access and exit.)
Access on to course will be marshalled by traffic controller, to ensure safe passage of races. Access will be easiest outside of, in-between, of at the conclusion of racing sessions.
For individuals who don’t need vehicular access to the event area, we recommend riding in rather than driving.
You must not access event by driving on course from any other point.

FOOD AND DRINK
There's plenty to do (and eat!) while in in the Copper Coast, but our pick is Taste The Yorke in Moonta. They love the Moonta Criterium so make sure you drop in and get a coffee and a bite to eat from them - help support those who support racing!
Make sure you leave the packed lunch at home on Saturday, which will have the Copper Coast Flying Group running a BBQ with meat and vegan options!
ACCOMMODATION
You'll want to stay up in the Copper Coast Region for this weekend, at least on the Saturday night if you're racing both days! Why not make a weekend of it, bring the family up and head out to one of the local tourist attractions while you're up here?
